Math Games
The math tasks are games that stimulate children to solve sums quickly and correctly. At the moment, there are the following games in Math Garden: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, series, speed mix, slow mix, numbers, fractions+, balance and flower code.
- Numbers: In this game you have to derive a given number from a combination of numbers and operators. For example: use the numbers 2, 4 and 9 to make the number 1 (2 x 4 = 8, 9 – 8 = 1). To accomplish this task it is important to understand the relations between numbers. For every problem, you must use all the numbers that are provided.
- Fractions+: This updated fraction task is a combination of fractions, percentages and ratio sums. Compared to the previous fractions task, this task is a better representation of the curriculum of the higher grades. Therefore Fractions+ replaces the previous fractions task.
- Balance: In this game you have to determine which side of a scale will go down based on the heaviness of the weights on either side.
- Flower Code: This is a game to train logical reasoning. The goal of every task is to determine the right order of the flowers, using the limited, but sufficient information that’s presented. Flower code is a Mastermind look-alike game.
Other domains will be added in the future.
