100 million sums

August 22, 2012

It’s been a blast for us these last couple of months at Oefenweb.nl. On June 2nd,the joint effort of all Rekentuin players (the Dutch version of Math Garden) broke through the 100 million sums barrier. You have to finish one sum every second, 8 hours a day for 9 years and 6 months straight, to do this on your own. It fills us up with pride.

Additionally a Dutch primary school named “Het Spinnewiel”, organised a mathmarathon to raise money for Ethiopia. Together the children collected over 200.000 in-game coins, raising a total of €1500,-. We’re always open to such initiatives.

Right now we’re working diligently to release a Dutch language game, using the same concept as Math Garden. It wouldn’t be too surprising, if an English version appeared sometime in the future.

English version of Rekentuin.nl

February 8, 2010

We are very proud to announce www.MathsGarden.com: the English version of www.Rekentuin.nl. We are now finishing the deals with the payment providers and will launch very soon. You can already sign up and try our product. Preparations for this English version started more than a year ago and are now almost finished. The release of this software opens the door for other versions in various languages since a generic internationalization solution was chosen.
